Once upon a time, a young man posed a question regarding the secret of success to Socrates, immediately Socrates heard of this, he told the young man to meet him at a nearby river the second day. Socrates and the man met at the river the second day as proposed, then Socrates asked the man to walk him toward the river, so when they both reached a point when water got to their neck, Socrates took the young man by surprise and then ducked him into the water. The young man struggled to pull his head out, but Socrates was stronger than him, so he kept the young man in the water until he started turning blue. Socrates then pulled his head out of the water and immediately, the young man gasp and takes a deep breath of air. Socrates now posed his own question to the young man by asking him ‘What did you want the most when you were there?’ and the young man response was ‘Air’, so Socrates replied him by saying ‘That is the secret to success. When you want success as badly as you wanted the air, then you will get it.’ There is no other secret.

I shared the motivational story above with you to inspire, motive and let you know that the starting point of all great accomplishment in life is a burning desire. The higher your level of desire the faster you reach your goal and vice versa.
There is no other secret to success outside a burning desire for success as illustrated by Socrates.
Just like a small fire cannot give much heat, a weak desire cannot produce great results… Want great results? Work and improve on your desire.
